Manoj Bajpayee says his daughter wanted to see him cry: ‘She was very curious how her father…’

Actor Manoj Bajpayee has aced the craft of acting. Whether he is cast as Bhiku Mhatre, a Mumbai-based gangster in crime-thriller or as Srikant Tiwari, a world-class spy in The Family Man, he knows how to keep his audience engaged. Given his acting prowess, it seems difficult to mimic the actor, but his daughter Ava doesn’t shy away from imitating her father.

In a new interview, Bajpayee, while discussing whether he cries or not in his personal life, revealed that his daughter Ava always wanted to see him cry. He told Pinkvilla, “My daughter wanted to see me crying. I told her, ‘Nowadays, I cry very rarely. So, I don’t know when you will see it.’ But she was very curious about how her father will cry.”

Unfortunately, Ava got to see Bajpayee crying when the actor’s father RK Bajpayee passed away. He died in October 2021 due to health-related complications. The Bandaa actor added, “When I reached home just after my father passed away and I was holding my mom and I was crying, she (Ava) was just looking at me, ‘How my father is crying, how is he looking while crying’.” However, the next day, Bajpayee revealed, “She was imitating me.”
